Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
