Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ya'. Sin. 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 on a straight path; 4 with a revelation sent down by the Mighty One, the Merciful, 5 that thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were never warned, so they are heedless. 6 Undoubtedly, it (their disbelief) has proved true for most of them, so they will not believe. 7 Verily! We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to chins, so that their heads are forced up. 8 And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see. 9 And it is the same for them, whether you warn them or do not warn them – they will not believe. 10 You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward. 11 Verily, We shall indeed bring the dead back to life; and We shall record whatever [deeds] they have sent ahead, and the traces [of good and evil] which they have left behind: for of all things do We take account in a record clear. 12
