Hizb 46
< random >
And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And surely they used to say: 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
