The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Compassionate. 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man. 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
