Noah said: My Lord! Lo! they have disobeyed me and followed one whose wealth and children increase him in naught save ruin; 21 and have devised a mighty device 22 and said: 'Do not renounce your gods, do not leave waddan or suwa'an or yaghutha, or ya'uqa, or nasra' 23 And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error." 24 And so, because of their sins, they were drowned [in the great flood,] and were doomed to suffer the fire [of the hereafter]; and they found none who could succour them against God. 25 And Noah said: My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers in the land. 26 Verily if Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thine bondmen and will beget not save sinning infidels, 27 "O my Lord! Forgive me, my parents, all who enter my house in Faith, and (all) believing men and believing women: and to the wrong-doers grant Thou no increase but in perdition!" 28
