T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
