Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to those possessed of understanding. 43 We said to Him, "Take a handful of twigs in your hand and strike with that but do not break your oath." We found him steadfast. What an excellent servant! He turned constantly to his Lord. 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And remember Isma'il and Al-Yas'a and Zul-kifl; all of the excellent ones. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink, 51 ۞ And with them shall be those restraining their eyes, equals in age. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 All this (is for them); so let them taste boiling water and pus, 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people rushing headlong to join you?" "No welcome to them! Indeed, they are headed for the fire!" 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 Have we taken them in mockery? Or, have our eyes swerved from them?' 63 Verily this is the very truth: the wrangling of the fellows of the Fire! 64
