The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
