The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 While eyes are downcast 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 you pay attention 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
