Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
