The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 pay their religious tax 4 and guard their private parts 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
