۞ We sent a revelation to Moses telling him to leave with our servants during the night; they would be pursued (by the Pharaoh). 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 He said: By no means; surely my Lord is with me: He will show me a way out. 62 Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound. 63 In the meantime We made the others approach that place. 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
