And [then] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown - and lo! out of their graves towards their Sustainer will they all rush forth! 51 "Woe betide us!" they will say, "Who has roused us from our sleep?" This is what the Lord of Mercy promised: the messengers spoke the truth! 52 And it is but one Shout and they are all arraigned before Us. 53 This day no soul is wronged in aught; nor are ye requited aught save what ye used to do. 54 Surely the dwellers of the garden shall on that day be in an occupation quite happy. 55 They and their wives, in pleasant shade, on thrones reclining; 56 Theirs shall be fruit therein and theirs shall be whatsoever they ask for. 57 Peace: a word from a Merciful Lord. 58 [And God will say], "Separate yourselves from the righteous this Day, you criminals. 59 ۞ Did I not commit you, O children of Adam, not to worship Satan who is your acknowledged foe, 60 and serve Me alone: this is the Straight Way? 61 But he beguiled a great many of you. Why did you not then understand? 62 This, then is Gehenna (Hell), that which you were promised. 63 [Enter to] burn therein today for what you used to deny." 64 This Day, We shall seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their legs will bear witness to what they used to earn. (It is said that one's left thigh will be the first to bear the witness). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 22, Page 24] 65 If We so willed, We would have put out their eyes, then they would rush to see the Way, but how would they be able to see? 66 And had it been Our will [that they should not be free to choose between right and wrong,] We could surely have given them a different nature [and created them as beings rooted] in their places, so that they would not be able to move forward, and could not turn back.] 67
