The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
