Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and covered them with torment. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
