No, by the moon! 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 until death approached us". 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
