Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 Others will be despondent, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
