Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
