The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
