Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
