And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.) 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
