Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 we are the rangers, 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 What though they would say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
