SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them, the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving.” 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 from which you are turning away.” 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 it has only been revealed to me that I am a plain warner." 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 all the angel then prostrated themselves 73 Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 Satan replied, "I am better than him. You created me from fire, but You created him from clay." 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 and My curse shall remain upon you till the Day of Resurrection.” 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 I shall certainly fill Gehenna with you and every one of them that follows you' 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
