Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds, 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down from the skies water rich in blessings, and cause thereby gardens to grow, and fields of grain, 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Did We, then, become worn out by the first creation? Not at all; but they are in doubt about a fresh creation. 15
