It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 Since the two scribes are sitting on each of his shoulders, he does not utter a word which is not recorded immediately by the watchful scribes. 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 who hinders good, exceeds the limits, is immersed in doubts, 25 and has set up another deity with Allah. Hurl him into the grievous torment.” 26 ۞ His satanic companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not mislead him, but he himself went astray". 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants." 29
