Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens the shadows? Had He pleased, He could have made them constant; then We placed the sun as an indicator for them, 45 We then gradually withdraw it towards Us. 46 And He it is who makes the night a garment for you, and [your] sleep a rest, and causes every [new] day to be a resurrection. 47 And He it is Who sends the winds as good news before His mercy; and We send down pure water from the cloud, 48 In order that We may revive a dead city with it, and give it to the many beasts and men that We have created, to drink. 49 We have indeed turned it about amongst them, so that they may remember; yet most men refuse all but unbelief. 50 Had We pleased We could have raised a warner in every town. 51 So obey not the unbelievers, but struggle with them thereby mightily. 52 ۞ And it is He Who caused the two joint seas to flow- one is palatable, very sweet, and the other is salty, very bitter; and kept a veil between them and a preventing barrier. 53 And He it is Who has created man from the water, then He has made for him blood relationship and marriage relationship, and your Lord is powerful. 54 And yet they worship, besides Allah, that which can neither benefit them nor hurt them; and the infidel is ever an aider of the devil against his Lord. 55 But thee We only sent to give glad tidings and admonition. 56 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (that which I have brought from my Lord and its preaching, etc.), save that whosoever wills, may take a Path to his Lord. 57 And trust the Living One Who will never die, and praising Him proclaim His Purity; and He is Sufficient upon the sins of His bondmen, All Aware. 58 it is He who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days [periods], then settled Himself on the throne -- the Gracious One. Ask any informed person about Him. 59 And when it is said to them: Prostrate to the Beneficent Allah, they say: And what is the Allah of beneficence? Shall we prostrate to what you bid us? And it adds to their aversion. ۩ 60
