Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say: "This is a message tremendous: 67 from which you are turning away.” 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam]. 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him. 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them: 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 God said, "Satan, what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance, or are you of those who think [only] of themselves as exalted?" 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 Satan said: “My Lord, then grant me respite till the Day that they are raised up.” 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof. 88
