Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 A revelation from Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 2 A Book whose signs have been distinguished as an Arabic Koran for a people having knowledge, 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your God is One God; so direct yourselves straight to Him, and seek His forgiveness. Woe to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity, 6 Who give not the poor-due, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 For those who believe and do good works is an enduring wage' 8
