The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Then where are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
