Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord. 1 He it is who has created you out of clay, and then has decreed a term [for you] - a term known [only] to him. And yet you doubt 2 He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth. He knoweth both your secret and your utterance, and He knoweth what ye earn. 3 (The unbelievers) have always turned away from the revelations and the evidence (of the Truth) that has been sent to them from time to time. 4 And they denied the truth when it came unto them. But there will come unto them the tidings of that which they used to deride. 5 See they not how many of those before them We did destroy?- generations We had established on the earth, in strength such as We have not given to you - for whom We poured out rain from the skies in abundance, and gave (fertile) streams flowing beneath their (feet): yet for their sins We destroyed them, and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them). 6 And had We sent down to you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) something written on paper so that they could feel it with their hands, even then the disbelievers would have said, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 7 'Why has an angel not been sent down on him?' they say; yet had We sent down an angel, the matter would have been determined, and then no respite would be given them. 8 And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves. 9 And assuredly mocked were the apostles before thee, wherefore that whereat they scoffed beset these who had been mocking. 10
