And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every guilty impostor. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
