Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
