When Your Lord told Moses to go to the unjust people of the Pharaoh 10 the people of Pharaoh; will they not be godfearing?' 11 He said: O my Lord! surely I fear that they will reject me; 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Pharaoh said, "What is this: Lord of the Universe?" 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 [Pharaoh] exclaimed: "Behold, [this] your 'apostle' who [claims that he] has been sent unto you is mad indeed! 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" 30 Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 and he drew forth his hand - and lo! it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
