Call upon those whom you set up beside God! They possess not an atom's weight either in the heavens or on the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor has He any helpers among them. 22 No intercession availeth with Him save for him whom He permitteth. Yet, when fear is banished from their hearts, they say: What was it that your Lord said? They say: The Truth. And He is the Sublime, the Great. 23 ۞ Ask them, "Who provides sustenance for you from the heavens and the earth?" Say, "It is God"; either you or we are rightly guided or in manifest error." 24 Say thou: ye will not be questioned about that which we have committed, nor shall we be questioned about that which ye work. 25 Say: "Our Lord will gather us together and judge between us equitably, for He is the Judge all-knowing." 26 Say to them, "Show me those whom you have joined with Him as partners. No indeed! For He alone is God, the Mighty One, the Wise One." 27 We have not sent thee but as a universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidings, and warning them (against sin), but most men understand not. 28 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak the truth?' 29 Say, "That day has already been decreed for you and you cannot change the time of its coming even by a single hour." 30
