1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray." 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 and would say: "Shall we, then, give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 (They say so although) he brought the Truth and confirmed the veracity of the Messengers. 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing. 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 clear, delightful to those who drink it: 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 As if they were eggs carefully protected. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 He looked down and saw (his friend) in the midst of Hell. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 They can only return to hell. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 74
