Lo! the tree of Zaqqum, 43 The food of sinners. 44 Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies, 45 like water. 46 (It will be said of such sinners), "Seize them and drag them into the middle of hell. 47 Then pour above his head of the torment of the boiling water: 48 Saying “Taste it! Indeed you only are the most honourable, the dignified!” 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 Surely those who fear and follow the straight path will be in a place of peace and security 51 Amidst gardens and springs. 52 Dressed in brocade and shot silk, facing one another. 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 In that [paradise] they shall [rightfully] claim all the fruits [of their past deeds,] resting in security; 55 They will not taste death therein, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the torment of the Flaming Fire. 56 By the munificence of your Lord; this is the great success. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So watch, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end]. 59
