Verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) are Gardens of delight (Paradise) with their Lord. 34 Should We treat those who submit and obey in the same way as those who are culpable? 35 What is amiss with you? On what do you base your judgment [of right and wrong]? 36 Or, have you a Book from which you study 37 That ye shall have, through it whatever ye choose? 38 Or you have oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection that yours will be what you judge. 39 Ask them, which of them will stand surety for that! 40 Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful. 41 On the day when the terrible torment approaches, they will be told (in a mocking way) to prostrate themselves, but they will not be able to do it. 42 With lowered eyes, disgrace overcoming them; and indeed they used to be called to prostrate themselves whilst they were healthy. 43 Leave those who reject the Quran to Me and I shall lead them step by step to destruction, without their being aware of it. 44 for, behold, though I may give them rein for a while, My subtle scheme is exceedingly firm! 45 Or are you asking them for some compensation so that they feel burdened with debt? 46 Or [do they think] that the hidden reality [of all that exists] is within their grasp, so that [in time] they can write it down? 47 Therefore wait for your Lord’s command, and do not be like the one of the fish; who cried out when he was distraught. (Prophet Yunus – peace be upon him.) 48 [And remember:] had not grace from his Sustainer reached him, he would indeed have been cast forth upon that barren shore in a state of disgrace: 49 Then his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous. 50 When the disbelievers listen to you reciting the Quran they almost try to destroy you with their piercing eyes. Then they say, "He is certainly insane". 51 But it is nothing less than a Message to all the worlds. 52
