The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
