Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
