Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 Then do not, O Lord, put me among the sinners." 94 And verily We are Able to show thee that which We have promised them. 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! 108 Among My servants, there were those who said, "Lord, We believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best one to show mercy." 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He will say: 'You have tarried a little, did you know? 114 Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?" 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 Whoever worships another god apart from God, for which he holds no proof, will have to account for it before his Lord. Verily the unbelievers will not prosper. 117 And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 118
