۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 Then Fir'aun (Pharaoh) sent callers to (all) the cities. 53 "There is a small group of people 54 who have enraged us greatly. 55 But we are a numerous host, ever on guard." 56 Then We drave them forth from gardens and springs. 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 and We made the Children of Israel inheritors of these bounties. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 and when the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Said he, 'No indeed; surely my Lord is with me; He will guide me.' 62 Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
