The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
