The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
