Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 who created and shaped, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
