Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Have you seen the one who calls the religion a lie? 1 That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, 2 And does not urge (others) to feed the poor. 3 Woe, therefore, unto such performers of prayer. 4 But who are oblivious of their moral duties, 5 Those who make a display (of their deeds). 6 And withhold things of common use (from others). 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
