۞ O men, it is you who stand in need of God. As for God, He is above all need, worthy of praise. 15 He can put you away, if He will, and bring a new creation 16 That surely is not difficult for Allah. 17 And a burdened soul cannot bear the burden of another and if one weighed down by burden should cry for (another to carry) its burden, not aught of it shall be carried, even though he be near of kin. You warn only those who fear their Lord in secret and keep up prayer; and whoever purifies himself, he purifies himself only for (the good of) his own soul; and to Allah is the eventual coming. 18 The blind and the seeing are not alike 19 And neither are darkness and brightness! 20 Nor the shade and the heat, 21 nor are the living and the dead equal. Allah makes to hear whosoever He will, but you cannot make those who are in their graves hear. 22 You are simply a warner. 23 Lo! We have sent thee with the Truth, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner; and there is not a nation but a warner hath passed among them. 24 If they reject you, so did their predecessors. Messengers came to them with clear signs, with scriptures, and with the enlightening Book, 25 Then I took hold of those who disbelieved, and how terrible was My denial (punishment)! 26
