The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
