And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
