Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
