Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the bright forenoon, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
